Overseas network January 4th According to Japanese TBS TV station, on the afternoon of the 4th, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said at the press conference at the beginning of the year that the Japanese New Year will be announced on April 1.

The current Japanese Emperor Mingren will be abdicated on April 30, 2019, and the 59-year-old Crown Prince Deren will be in the next day (May 1). This is the first time in Japan that the emperor changed his life in modern times. On October 22nd, the "the ceremony of the main hall of the throne" will be held, and the new emperor will be officially announced. This also means that the Heisei era is coming to an end and Japan will usher in a new year.

Heisei is the year of Mingren. On January 7, 1989, Japan’s 124th-generation Emperor Yuren died. At the time, the 55-year-old Crown Prince Ming Ren became enthroned. He changed his name to “Pingcheng” from the next day, marking the beginning of the Heisei era and is still in use today.

As for the date of publication of the New Year's Day, the Japanese side originally intended to be scheduled for April 11. However, the Japanese government later considered that with the birth of the new emperor on May 1 and the birth of the New Year, there will be a series of changes such as updating computer software information, and the parties will need at least one month to adjust. In order to respect the royal tradition and minimize the impact on the nationals, it was decided to officially announce the New Year's Day around April 1.

The Japanese government plans to let Emperor Akihito sign a decree on April 1st to decide the New Year and announce it. It will be officially used from May 1.

It is reported that the Chinese year number is called the yuan number in Japan, and it can be traced back to the ancient Chinese Han Dynasty. According to the "Japanese Secretary", the earliest Japanese number appeared in the "large reform and new" in 645, when "Dahua" was used as the year number. In the middle and late 7th century, the record of the year number appeared intermittently. Until 701, Emperor Wenwu for 5 years, Jianyuan "Dabao", since then, the year has been used as a fixed era.
