Saudi Arabia confirms that Kasuccis dismemberment of five suspects in the consulate will face the death penalty

Saudi Arabia confirms that Kasucci’s dismemberment of five suspects in the consulate will face the death penalty

General Mujika announced

According to Agence France-Presse reported on the 15th, Saudi Arabia’s Attorney General Mujika announced the results of the investigation of the death of Saudi journalist Kashuji on the same day, acknowledging that Kasucci was dismembered at the Saudi consulate in Turkey.

Mujika said at the press conference that the Saudi intelligence department originally dispatched an agent team to arrest Kasji and bring it back to Saudi Arabia, but the agent team "professed to do so", anesthetized, killed and divided the body in the consulate. Dismembered and then shipped out of the embassy. At present, Saudi Arabia has arrested 21 suspects and filed lawsuits against 11 people. The prosecution requested that five of them be sentenced to death. At the same time, the Saudi side denied that Kaschiji was killed in connection with the Crown Prince, saying that “the Crown Prince knew nothing about this” and said that they had requested a cooperation agreement with the Turkish side to provide the results of the case investigation.

The Turkish authorities responded to Saudi Arabia’s statement on the 15th that the conclusion was “not sufficient” and insisted that Kasji’s murder was “premeditated”. The Turkish side also requested an international investigation into the case. However, Saudi Foreign Minister Jupiter responded that Riyadh has its own "investigation agency" and will not accept an independent investigation into the Kasji case. The US "Washington Post" said on the 15th that US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin has announced the sanctions against 17 Saudis, including the Crown Prince's senior aide.
