Manila, August 9 The Philippine Navy announced on the 9th that a multi-purpose attack boat of the Philippine Navy successfully tested a "nail-ER" short-range missile on the same day.

Philippine Navy spokesman Jonathan Sata said that a multi-purpose attack boat tested the newly equipped "Spike-ER" short-range missile system in the east of Bataan province on the same day. The target is planned outside the kilometer.

This is the first successful missile test in the history of the Philippine Navy. 

Sata said that the missile test is an acceptance test after the relevant ship is equipped with the "Spike-ER" short-range missile system. The Philippine Navy will soon organize the missile system test, and the military will invite President Duterte participated in the testimony.

The Philippine Defense Ministry revealed in May that the Philippines had introduced the "Spike-ER" short-range missile system from Israel and began to equip it on the Philippine Navy's three multi-purpose attack boats. The missile has a maximum range of 8 kilometers and can also be equipped with armed helicopters.
