Overseas network August 9th local time Thursday (9th), a child carrying a bus in Saada, northern Yemen, was attacked by air, resulting in at least 20 deaths and 35 injuries. Local tribal leaders said that the Saudi-led coalition launched an air strike. According to the latest news from Agence France-Presse, the Saudi-led coalition forces said that the attack on Yeam, Yemen, was "legitimate action."

According to reports from the Associated Press and CNN, the attacked bus was passing through a bustling market in the northern province of Sa'ada in Yemen. The province is located at the border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and is currently controlled by Yemeni rebels. The Yemeni tribe leader said that the attack resulted in at least 20 deaths, including several children, and at least 35 others were injured. It is not clear how many of the casualties are from bus passengers and how many are from nearby pedestrians. Al-MasirahTV, the armed media of Houthi, gave another set of casualties, saying that the attack resulted in 39 deaths and 51 injuries. The dead and wounded were mainly children.

The head of the Yemen ICRC delegation said through social media that dozens of children were killed or injured in the attack, most of them under the age of 10, and the agency is providing additional assistance to local hospitals. Sayya Health Department official Yahya Shaem told CNN that the children on the bus were on their way to the summer camp.

Earlier, according to News Agency, in September 2014, the Yemeni Houthi captured the capital Sana'a, and later occupied the southern part of Yemen, forcing President Hardy to take refuge in Saudi Arabia. In March 2015, Saudi Arabia and other countries launched a military operation codenamed "Decisive Storm" against the Houthi armed forces.

With the support of the multinational coalition led by Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni government forces launched a large-scale military operation to recover Hodda on June 13. The port of Hodda is on the verge of the Red Sea. It is an important channel for the Yemeni armed forces to contact the outside world and the only way for the international community to provide humanitarian assistance to the Houthi armed control area.
