India Found military plane that crashed 50 years ago

Overseas Network July 23rd, an Indian Air Force, an An-12 (AN-12) military aircraft carrying 102 people crashed in the Lahar Canyon in Himachal Pradesh in 1968. After 50 years, the Indian mountaineering team recently discovered the dead body and part of the wreckage of one of the soldiers on the plane.

According to "India Today", on July 1, a group of mountaineering teams found the remains of the soldiers at the Dhaka Glacier Camp in Himachal Pradesh on the way to the "Chandrabhaga-13" mountain expedition. Some of the aircraft were found to be wrecked. The expedition was a clean-up event organized by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, which consisted of 11 people.

According to reports, on February 7, 1968, an Indian Air Force An-12 military aircraft flew from Chandigarh to Leh, with 102 people on board. Due to the bad weather, the pilot decided to return when he was close to Leh, and then the plane lost. Soon after, there were reports that the plane had crashed. In 2003, some of the aircraft wreckage was discovered in the Dhaka Glacier area.
