Air Force Attack on Syrian Military Barracks Kills About 40 People The U.S. Military Denies Air Strikes

CCTV News: According to Syrian official media quoted the Syrian military’s news report on the 18th, the U.S.-led “International League” when the sky hit the government military camp in the eastern city of Abu Kamal. It has been reported that about 40 people died as a result of the air strikes. However, the U.S. military denied launching the airstrike.

Air Force Attack on Syrian Military Barracks

Syrian official media reported that the government military camp that was airstruck on the day was located in the eastern city of Abu Kamal near the Iraqi border. The attack caused casualties.

According to a pro-Syrian government’s military personnel, the area that was suspected of US aircraft attack on that day was located between Abu Kamel and its southwestern Tanzanian area. The US military has a base for training Syrian rebels in the area. .

U.S. denies air raid on eastern Syria

In response to this statement, the US military spokesman, Josh Jacques, stated that the air strikes were not launched by the United States or other members of the "international coalition."

Abu Kamal is located in the southeast of Deir al-Zawr in eastern Syria, near the Iraqi border. It was an important base for extremist groups in Deir al-Zour, and was recaptured by Syrian government forces in November last year.
